It sounds like the Owens had a banner day! Rachel ran around silly taking every kid to an activity today! Regular, happy, blessed life. Tomorrow, Rachel will be counting on your prayers. She goes in to get the port put in (a method for administering the chemo without so much poking). It is something that she will have on/in her body for the duration of treatment. This sounds unpleasant to me. Rachel will be accompanied by her aunt Lynn, I believe, who, as the story goes, knows how to convince a nurse to medicate a girl appropriately. Amen. Pray for Rachel, that she has the strength and courage to go through with this, that she focus on her family and the idea that this is HOW she will get rid of this disease (from a earthly stand point anyway). Pray that she have good nurses. Pray that someone funny is in there, because laughing makes everything a little better. Pray hard. Pray all day. Don't forget our dear friend tomorrow morning.
Chemo starts Wednesday. Rachel, you can do this, we are all right there with you, friend! We love you.
